LIFE magazine of April 23, 1945 - Overseas Edition for Armed Forces. This is a very rare issue if LIFE magazine. It features President Truman and an article about the death of Roosevelt. It was distributed by the Special Services Division of the US Army and was Not for Sale. It differs from regular LIFE magazines in that it contains no advertisements. It is why there are only 50 pages but these contain great articles and photos. Also the magazine was printed on a lower grade paper and it is amazing it survived. The front and back covers are loose from the magazine and the paper is a bit fragile as to be expected from a 77 year magazine (priced accordingly). The rarity warrants a place in a collection. It is perfect for display and will look great framed. Good condition.
