LIFE magazine of July 24, 1944 - Overseas Edition for Armed Forces. This is a very issue of LIFE magazine. It was distributed by the Special Services Division of the US Army and was Not for Sale. It differs from regular LIFE magazines in that it contains no advertisements. It is why there are only 50 pages but these contain great articles and photos. Also the magazine was printed on a lower grade paper and it is amazing it survived. There is a tear in the first page, staining throughout and the paper is a bit fragile as to be expected from a 78 old year magazine (priced accordingly); The rarity warrants a place in a collection. It is perfect for display and it will look great framed. Good condition.
