Aa a T/5 Herink served with the HQ Company of the 2nd Battalion of the 517th PIR and can be found in the roster of the unit history. It is likely he was transferred to the 505th PIR after the Battle of the Bulge. The pass consists of four pages in the languages English, Russian, French and German stapled together.
