This is the official 3rd Division book that was printed in 1947. It belonged to the family of PFC Elmer L. Conaway, ASN 39023503, who enlisted on March 16, 1942. Conaway served with the 30th Infantry Regiment and was killed in action on September 12, 1944. He is buried at Epinal American Cemetery, Plot A, Row 20, Grave 39.The book contains nearly 600 pages with many maps and photos plus roster in the back. The cover is a bit discoloured but overall the book is in great shape. For same reason the map at the end of the book is placed upside down! This is the hard to find original version, not a reprint. This book is a poignant relic and 'must have' for the WWII history buff or anyone with a specific interest in the 3rd Division. View the many photos. Very good condition.
