Heart Shield bible. New testament with protective gold plated steel cover that is engraved with 'May This Keep You Safe From Harm'. Complete with leather pouch. The cover some wear but is still in very good shape. The bible belonged to Aubrey E. Austin Jr. ASN 39227587, who enlisted on February 21, 1941. It seems Austin became an officer at some point. The bible was presented to him on Christmas Day 1943. Nice item for display with research potential. Very good condition.
