Omaha Beachhead, large size soft cover book about the assault on Omaha Beach and Point du Hoc. It was published by the Historical Division of the War Department in 1945. This is the hard to find original version, not a reprint. It is without a doubt the best documented book available. It contains 168 pages with many photos, maps and fold outs. A 'must have' for the WWII history buff or anyone with a specific interest in this battle. All sixteen maps are present. These books are becoming exceedingly difficult to find. This particular book belonged to Captain Adam A. Komosa, of D Company, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. Komosa earned the Silver Star. Very good condition.
