The Fighting 36th book. A pictorial history of the Texas division in combat. This is the official 36th Division book that was printed right after the war. This is the hard to find orginal version, not a reprint. It has a leatherette hardcover. The pages are not numbered but is a big book with many photos and maps and the full roster in the back. The book belonged to PFC John G. Ward who served with D Company of the 143rd Infantry Regiment. Ward wrote his name on the first page of the book and marked his name in the roster. A 'must have' with research potential for the WWII history buff or anyone with a specific interest in this unit. Very good condition.
