AN 6519-1 Life preserver

AN 6519-1 Life Preserver (named B-4 uniil February 1944). Iconic 'Mae West' life preserver as used by aviators and paratroopers.  It was made by the United States Rubber Co. and is April 1945 dated. The life preserver is complete with its straps, CO² cartridge holders and rubber air hoses. The air hoses are positioned between the bladders which is typical for late war life preservers made by the United States Rubber Co. The Dye Marker pack is also present (which is most often missing). The rubber is supple and the color is vibrant. Very good condition.
