B-4 Life preserver

B-4 Life preserver as used by aviators and paratroopers. It was made by the The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and is March 1943 dated. The straps of the life preserver have been modified in such a way that it can be put over the head with only one strap to be attached at the bottom. It has red rubber hoses and several inspection dates stencilled on the front. The dye marker (T.O. 13-1-5 of August 1943) is no longer present. The rubber its quite supple and the colour is vibrant. Very good condition.
