Consisting of the medal with correct slot brooch, ribbon, lapel pin and additional piece of fabric. The medal is of the 1942 Rex Products Co. contract. It has as a polished phenolic resin heart and is numbered 297878 on the side. There is a slight stain on the back of the fabric. The ribbon bar is an early type with steel back plate and C catch. The case is the early wooden version. Early production numbered Purple Heart medals are very hard to find. Superb display item! Very good condition.
