LIFE magazine of November 1, 1943 - Overseas Service Edition. This is a very rare issue of LIFE magazine. It was distributed by the Special Services Division of the US Army and was Not for Sale. It differs from regular LIFE magazines in that it contains no advertisements. It is why there are only 50 pages but these contain great articles and photos. Also the magazine was printed on a lower grade paper and it is amazing it survived. The paper is a bit fragile as to be expected from a 79 year old magazine. The soldier who owned this magazine obviously liked the magazine as he marked dit 'Keep This' between the upper propellor blades. The rarity warrants a place in a collection. It is excellent for display and will look great framed. Very good condition.
