Wound tablets. Medical Item nr. 9120400. Bituminize paper wrapper with aluminum lining that contains a plastic holder with eight sulfadiazine wound tablets. Produced by The Up John Company.This is the version with 'Wound Tablets' in large lettering and graphics to make the use easily understandable for GI's. (as seen on page 103, photo nr. 603 of «US WW2 First-Aids of the Medical Department: Kits & Men part 3 & 4» book). A small part is missing from the top of the wrapper but the package has not been opened. These packages were carried by Infantry and Paratroopers in the First Aid pouch. They have become exceedingly hard to find. Very good condition.
