Wound tablets. Medical Item nr. 9120400. Small box with cardboard frame that holds a bituminize paper wrapper with eight sulfadiazine tablets. Produced by Davis Co., Inc. a less common manufacturer (as seen on page 100, photo nr. 593 of «US WW2 First-Aids of the Medical Department: Kits & Men part 3 & 4» book). This is the rare early type box. It has 'Wound Tablets' in large lettering and graphics to make the use easily understandable for GI's These packages were carried by Infantry and Paratroopers in the First Aid pouch. They have become exceedingly hard to find. Very good condition.
