Aeronautic First Aid kit pouch, type II of waxed canvas. Medical item Item No. 9776500. This is the rare version with the manufacturer's name and 1943 date printed inside the flap (as seen on page 119, photo nr. 136 of «US WW2 First-Aids of the Medical Department: Kits & Men part 1 & 2» book). The Talon zipper is complete and works well. It is complete with the four mounting studs in paper bag. Perfect item for display or as a project to fill with the correct items. These kits were mounted in the fuselage of airplanes and often taken by paratroopers to get some additional supplies. As pictured in the FM 21-11 First aid for soldier manual, see last photo. Very good condition.
