Field needle sterilizer. Medical Item nr 7918000. Part of the medical kit and intended for use in the field. It still has its original wick. As seen on page 242 of the book 'US WW2 First-Aids of the Medical Department: Kits & Men (part 3 & 4). This is the unbranded variation which is rated 'rare' in the book. Very good condition.
