Chaplain's stole. Original QM issue Chaplain's stole, Christian Faith, Stock No. 62-S-2505. Made of thick black fabric and about 275 centimeters long and with fringes at the ends. It is embroidered on each end with a golden Army seal and cross. A piece of velcro and two hooks have been added to the collar, probably to keep the stole in place during ceremonies. Also see wartime photo of burial of General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Very good condition.
