Very uncommon half gallon empty can. With nice embossed lid. The copyright date 1938 is on the side. The production of this type of steel cans halted during the war when all the steel went to the war production. It was replaced by a glass jug. Prestone anti-freeze was the liquid that was used in army vehicles. Also see photos of wartime advertisements. Very good condition.
