Varga Pin Up gatefold "Heritage"

€60.00

Gatefold of the Esquire magazine of July 1942. Alberto Vargas followed up George Petty as the Pin Up artist with Esquire magazine in 1941. His 'Varga-girls' soon became famous and his work was inspirational for nose-art on many planes. Varga created a series of Pin Ups which were presented in the magazine as 'Gatefolds' (fold out posters). Stunning artwork that was most popular among GI's! Verse by Phil Stack. Size is approximately 45 x 35.5 centimeters. The poster has some slight discoloration and a small corner missing. Nevertheless this will look awesome framed! Very good condition.
