Varga Pin Up gatefold 'Miss Santa Claus'

€70.00

Gatefold of the Esquire magazine of December 1942. Alberto Vargas followed up George Petty as the Pin Up artist with Esquire magazine in 1941. His 'Varga-girls' soon became famous and his work was inspirational for nose-art on many planes. Varga created a series of Pin Ups which were presented in the magazine as 'Gatefolds' (fold out posters). Stunning artwork that was most popular among GI's! Verse by Phil Stack. Size is approximately 45 x 35.5 centimeters. This is without a doubt one of the sexiest Pin Ups Varga created during the war and will look awesome framed! Very good condition.
