Varga Pin Up gatefold "Beached for the Duration!". One of the most iconc Varga Pin Up painings of WWII! Gatefold of the Esquire magazine of May1944. Alberto Vargas followed up George Petty as the Pin Up artist with Esquire magazine in 1941. His 'Varga-girls' soon became famous and his work was inspirational for nose-art on many planes. Varga created a series of Pin Ups which were presented in the magazine as 'Gatefolds' (fold out posters). Stunning artwork that was most popular among GI's! Verse by Phil Stack.
