Original drawing of a Navy scrubbing scene by wartime artist Howell Dodd. Dodd worked for Associated Press and various magazines and newspapers during WWII and became very famous as a magazine illustrator after the war. On the back is a stamp with the date 12 April, 1944. Apparently there was objection by the US Navy to have this illustration published, as indicated by the stamp. The paper measures about 25.5 x 21 centimeters. This will look awesome framed. Very good condition.
