Varga Pin Up Calendar of 1944. Published by Esquire. The 1944 calendar was produced in 1943. All twelve months are present. Stunning artwork. This was the nr. 1 calendar for all GI's! Varga followed up George Petty as the Pin Up artist with Esquire magazine in 1941. His 'Varga-girls' soon became famous and his work was inspirational for nose-art on many planes and flight jackets (see last photo). There is a tear in the January page and a smaller one in the February page (priced accordingly). Great wartime display item. Very good condition.
