Varga Pin Up gatefold \"Song for a Guitar\"

€50.00

Gatefold of the Esquire magazine of October 1942. Alberto Vargas followed up George Petty as the Pin Up artist with Esquire magazine in 1941. His 'Varga-girls' soon became famous and his work was inspirational for nose-art on many planes. Varga created a series of Pin Ups which were presented in the magazine as 'Gatefolds' (fold out posters). Stunning artwork that was most popular among GI's! Verse by Phil Stack. Size is approximately 42 x 35.5 centimeters. There is some discoloration along the side edges. This will look awesome framed! Good condition.
