Full ½ Lb container made of cardboard with steel top and bottom. Typical early war item when metals were saved for the war effort (later in the war the containers were fully made of cardboard). These containers are hard to find but a full one is exceptionally rare. It still has the wartime price of 19 cents in grease pencil. The container is still in great shape although the bottom is rusty. This is a superb wartime display piece. Also see wartime advertisements. Very good condition.
