1st half of 5 rations box. There is no Menu designation present. Part of the 10-in-1 ration. First half ration boxes are very hard to find because they were made of more fragile corrugated cardboard (and not fibre board as the second half boxes). This box still has its original waxed inner box and cardboard tray which is rare. The top is still closed as the box was opened at the side, this panel is no longer present. However the box looks unopened from the other side which makes it excellent for display. Please note the tape is original to the box, these are not repairs. This box was recovered in Normandy. Good condition.
