K ration crate

K ration crate. Wooden K ration crate that contained 12 K ration set (36 boxes). It was produced by The Hills Bros. Co. and is dated October 1944 on the side.  The printings are still nice. The fact the crate was opened at the bottom makes it very suitable for display as it seems unopened from the top! A small chip of wood is missing from a corner. This crate was found in Normandy recently. It is great for display. Also see additional photo of improvised stage made of ration crates. K ration crates have become increasingly difficult to find. Very good condition.
