K ration crate

K ration crate. Wooden K ration crate that contained 12 K ration set (36 boxes). Dated July 1944. It was produced by Hiram Walker & Sons, Inc.  The printings are still nice and the inside is clean. The fact the crate was opened at the bottom makes it very suitable for display as it seems unopened from the top!  This crate was found in Normandy recently. Also see additional photo of improvised stage made of ration crates. K ration crates have become increasingly difficult to find. Very good condition.
