Flying sunglasses

Flying sunglasses in steel case. Gold plated metal framed green shade sunglasses. Both temples are marked on the inside with AO logo of American Optical and 12K G.P. (12 karat gold plated). It is small and hard to see but it is there. There is a label with a name on the case which has the name and ASN O-345956 of an officer, but the name is hard to make out. Also see photo of Army Air Forces catalog of 1943. Very good condition.
