Leather palm gloves

Gloves of pressed wool with leather palms. Size 9. The gloves seem hardly worn, if at all. Leather palm gloves were already worn by US paratroops in Normandy (see photos from Michel DeTrez's books). They became common occurence late 1944 and during the Battle of the Bulge. Also see photo of Quartermaster catalog. Very good condition.
