General Patton prayer for good weather card. Iconic card that was handed out to all the troops of the 3rd Army mid December 1944. The prayer was written by the Chief Chaplain of the 3rd Army, Msgr. James H. O'Neill. General Patton wrote his Christmas Greetings to the troops for the reverse side. About 250.000 cards were printed by the 664th Engineer Topographical Company. Because these prayer cards are small (business card size) were printed on regular paper and handed out during combat conditions. it is no surprise not many survived. They are extremely difficult to find and actually much rarer than Ike's D Day note. These cards rarely come up for sale and this is your chance to own an iconic piece of history. This is a superb piece for display. Very good condition.
