Coca Cola cardboard carrier. Foldout cardboard carrier for six bottles. This is the iconic Coca Cola 'carton' that was introduced in 1939 (see copyright date on the bottom) and used thouggout the early 40's. There are several patent numbers on the bottom of the carton with 2,171,615 of 1939 being closest to the actual design (see patent photo). This type of carton can also be seen on many wartime Coca Cola advertisements, brochures and signs (see photo of 1942 sign). The price of 25 Cents for six bottles was the price during WWII. This type of cardboard carrier is extremely hard to find today as not many survived. This is an opportunity to add a colourful and rare wartime piece to the collection. The carrier has some old tape repairs (priced accordingly) but is quite nice overall. The bottles shown are for display only and do not come with the carton. Superb wartime display item. Good condition.
