Rome edition with the headline article 'INVASION'. Rome fell on June 5 and the Stars and Stripes had been printed there ever since. This is Vol. 1 # 2. The Stars and Stripes newspapers that were printed on June 6 and report about D-Day are without a doubt the most sought after and incredibly hard to find. This example was found in Italy recently and it is in good condition keeping in mind that it was printed on low grade paper. There is a small tear at the top of the first page but overall it is excellent for display. The newspaper is four pages long. It will look awesome framed. The Stars and Stripes can also be seen in a frame at the store counter (see last photo). Very good condition
