Combat boots, size 7½ D. Combat boots aka 'buckle boots' were introduced in 1943. These are the early types with reenforcing rivets below the eyelets and wire buckles. The maker's stamp is present but very faint. The date seems to be June 17, 1944. Complete with their original cotton laces....
