Of August 28, 1942 contract. Size 5 with uncommon zinc coated snap fasteners with six dimples in the reverse. The printing on the neckband is very small and oddly lacks the maker's name. Neckbands produced by the Sun Shoe Mfg. Co. are rare. This example comes from the M-1 Helmet.com collection...
Of June 4, 1942 contract. Size 5 with steel snap fasteners. This is one of the rare early production triple HBT SMC neckbands that has the markings vertically. The neckband is in good used condition and would be perfect to complete an early liner. It comes from the M-1 Helmet.com collection...
